About Sogol Kafi
Sogol has been working in the mental health field for over a decade, in the areas of counselling, treatment, research and education. Sogol is Registered with the college of the registered psychotherapists of Ontario and her practice is under supervision of Clinical Psychologists, Dr. Augustine Meier.
Prior to beginning her private practice she was seeing clients at Saint Paul University and at the Center for Couples, Individuals and Families for various mental health challenges as an intern. In addition, Sogol is a frequent lecturer at Algonquin College and has been the Coordinator of the Crisis Management, Human Psychology program since 2012. She is a published author in academic journals with a focus on Attachment theory as well an occasional producer of a Mental Health Radio show in Ottawa for the Iranian-Canadian Community. Sogol is also an Aware Parenting instructor certified from the Aware Parenting Institute founded by Dr. Aletha Solter, in Santa Barbra, California.
